Just a few of my chars from Atlantic Shard.

Nearly 8 months ago I stopped mooching UO time from my roomie and forked over the cash to buy my own account of Ultima Online. I've been playing Ultima games since I bought a new copy of Ultima 5 for my Apple IIc, so it was a dream come true. I began as Owen, the lowly miner, chopping away in the northern caves of Minoc to smelt the ore there and try to forge something with it back in town. Soon I felt the need to go adventuring, and Locke the treasure hunter was born. I began my training in the Sandstone City of Trinsic at around the same time that Minax began her attacks. Things heated up as undead hordes began to invade the city, laying waste to the unprepared. It was during my defenses against one of these attacks that I met Servantes, guildmaster of the then tiny guild THG: The Trinsic Honor Guard. After I helped them repulse the attack, I was recruited into the guild, forming the beginnings of the guard's milita. This also began the beginnings of my rigorous training as a warrior. I learned to weild my weapon better and how to heal wounds in combat, yet no matter how skilled we fought or how quickly our numbers grew, we were unable to hold off the forces of the dead.

One after one of the largest assaults the city had seen, there seemed to be a calm. Secure in the fact that we had won for the night, the guard headed back to our homes and rested. The final blow came then, quickly and the city soon fell to the undead. We moved to a temporary home, on a distant, arctic isle and began to plan ways to retake the city. With still greater strength and numbers, we repeatedly staged raids into the fallen city. With the help of Lord Dupre the paladin, we were able to punch through the walls of the town and to the heart of the city. We pushed into the foul creatures' temple, laying it in ruin. Soon, the citizens and merchants of the city returned and the beatiful stone fortress was once again ours. We once again defend the city against any monsters who would dare attempt to defile it again.

This was taken during the defense of trinsic. We made a row of warriors, a row of mages and archers to back them up, with a floating squad to make sure the mages had defense. Unfortunately, by the time we organized this, the attack was basically over (I think we scared em off)

This rather large spawn of monsters I found while running around on the test center shard. There is no way in hell im going to fight off all those guys.

This was taken in the city of Vesper, apparently some giant snakes chased all the beasts from the forests. Though paniced, the creatures were still harmless. But the brave citizens of Vesper found the need to mercilessly slaughter them anyways. =)
